Personal safety and economic security are inextricably linked, yet credit remains one of the most persistent barriers to a survivor’s long-term independence. A low credit score can dictate whether a family secures safe housing, reliable transportation, or even a basic utility connection without a deposit.

Join us to learn about the Independence Program, a national microlending initiative run by the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). This program is designed to help survivors establish the credit history they need to move from short-term crisis to permanent security. We will discuss how advocates can utilize this program to build economic resiliency and help survivors reclaim their financial futures.
